Senator Gavarone currently serves as the State Senator for Ohio’s 2nd Senate District which includes all or part of Erie, Fulton, Lucas, Ottawa and Wood Counties.
In the current Ohio General Assembly, Senator Gavarone has sponsored or co-sponsored many bills, including Senate Bill 320 (Require photo ID to vote), Senate Bill 293 (Prohibit State or Local Governments From Requiring a Fee or Liability Insurance To Own a Gun), Senate Bill 157 (Born-Alive Infant Protection Act), Senate Bill 277 (Reduce Gas Tax), House Bill 110 (Historic Income Tax Cuts), and Senate Resolution 243 (Urges Joe Biden to protect the Southern Border).
Senator Gavarone is the co-owner of Mr. Spots restaurant with her husband, Jim, as well as an attorney, and graduate of both Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo College of Law. They live in Erie County and have raised three children.
