Tri-County Electric Cooperative Members held this Access Live Event to connect with their members about their Winter Storm Uri and Brazos bankruptcy. This event featured Darryl Shriver, President and CEO and Melissa Watts, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance. Darryl Schriver opened the call by discussing the timeline of the bankruptcy process and their plans for connecting their members with market providers on March 1, 2023. He also discussed how Tri-County is taking proactive steps to avoid cost increases for fixed and low-income members and other steps they’ve taken to bring down costs for all members. Melissa Watts discussed how Tri-County chose to finance the process and their plans for the future.
