Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation hosted this Access Live event to discuss the need for a new Stollery Children’s Hospital to help kids all across Alberta. This event featured Erica Thomas, Stollery Children’s Hospital parent, Dr. Peter Metcalfe, Head of Surgery, Mike House, President and CEO, and Martin Schuldhaus, Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Topics of discussion included: the cost of the hospital, the economic benefit of the new hospital, and how to improve wait times. Host addressed callers’ questions on proportion of inpatient and outpatients, the budget for the new hospital, the cost to maintain the hospital, and the location of the new hospital.
