Senator Mike Lee of Utah hosted this event as part of his monthly interactive teleconference with state residents. Senator Lee discussed the work being done in the U.S. Senate and the bills he is currently working on. One bill he has introduced is the Inspector General Empowerment Act which ensures proper investigations in the Department of Justice by increasing transparency and accountability. Callers were concerned about the FCC actions on net neutrality. Senator Lee mentioned the REINS Act which will require Congress to approve any new rule with a major impact on the economy ($100 million) and therefore give the American people a greater voice in reducing the undue burden of excessive regulations and help hold executive agencies accountable. Senator Lee answered many of the concerns presented by those in attendance. Produced by Advantage.
