Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib hosted this Access Live event to provide information to constituents regarding the recent flooding in Michigan. This event featured Scott Burgess, Federal Coordinating Officer at Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); Susan Jensen, Individual Assistance Branch Chief at FEMA; Lori Simon, Superintendent at FEMA; Sara MacRae, Professional Emergency Manager (PEM) and State Individual Assistance Officer, Michigan State Police, Emergency Management & Homeland Security Division; and Julie Garrett, Public Affairs Specialist at Small Business Administration (SBA). Scott Burgess explained how FEMA is helping those involved in the flood recovery in Michigan. He also talked about the established recovery centers in the area. Lori Simon talked about flood insurance and the process for this and addressed rebuilding after flood damage. They also discussed the many different resources for those in need during this time.
