Congressman Rick Larsen hosted this Access Live event to discuss Earth Day and climate change with constituents of Washington’s 2nd Congressional District. The event also featured the Deputy Director of the University of Washington Climate Impacts Group (CIG), Dr. Jason Vogel and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multimodal Development and Delivery for the Washington State Transportation Commission, Alison Camden. The hosts discussed how climate change is affecting the region and new green transportation infrastructure coming to the district. Participants had questions concerning plastics pollution and the oil industry, alternative fuels, lifestyle changes to combat climate change, deforestation, and electric vehicles.
