Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, representing Virginia’s 7th District, hosted this Access Live event to connect with her constituents and discuss prominent issues facing Virginia’s veterans service members and military families. The event also featured veteran Ben Shaw and Dr. John Henry of the Virginia Dept of Veterans Services. The hosts addressed the PACT Act and the expansion of coverage for those who have been exposed to toxic and hazardous material. Other topics of discussion included local VA projects, military readiness and physical aptitude, support for small businesses, foreign vs local aid, border security, and infrastructure. Participants also had questions regarding the VA claims process, accessibility of care, and transportation.
