State Senator Ryan Aument started off by sharing some updates in the State Capitol. He addressed taxes in various forms such as fracking, income and sales. Taxes in the state are high and property taxes are a burden for many. Pension reform for state employees was discussed as well as some discussion about the Governor’s handling of the budget and fiscal responsibility. They talked about costs, savings and state spending regarding the budget which many see as problematic.
