Pennsylvania State Senators David Argall, representing the 29th District, and Mike Folmer, who represents the 48th District, held this live event to discuss Senate Bill 76. SB76 calls for a total elimination of school property taxes. The school property tax will be replaced by a combination of funding from personal income tax and the sales and use tax. Senators Folmer and Argall discussed the archaic nature of the current system for school funding and the importance of passing SB76 to promote economic growth and to provide much needed property tax relief for homeowners. The senators also discussed the efforts to control school spending and encourage school districts to develop a balanced budget to reduce overspending.
