The NAACP hosted this Community Phonecast Video event to discuss student debt relief. Americans have $1.7 trillion in outstanding student loan debt and this event sought to bring together Black borrowers and experts to discuss and get answers about the student debt relief application and related issues. A panel of guest speakers addressed common questions about the debt relief program, payment relief options, and all of the resources available to borrowers as payments resume post pandemic. With current economic conditions, inflation and the post pandemic environment, hosts discussed a variety of ways to get an education without being buried in debt.
