My Faith Votes held this live, interactive event, joined by special guest speaker Brad Dacus, President of the Pacific Justice Institute. The Pacific Justice Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the legal defense of religious freedom and other civil liberties. Brad discussed multiple topics, including recent developments within the federal justice system, resources available for empowering leaders, and the future of the Johnson amendment. Mr. Dacus shared with participants that he believes that the Johnson amendment will be reversed, and that this reversal would allow pastors freedom to preach without the federal government threatening to take away their non-profit or tax exempt status. Participants were able to ask questions live of Mr. Dacus, and addressed many current issues, including the potential overturn of the Roe vs. Wade decision, and the inclusion of the Ten Commandments within the school system.
