On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Mayo Clinic hosted Philanthropy Grand Rounds featuring Mary Sue Coleman, Ph.D., Executive Chair of the Leadership Council and Mayo Clinic Trustee in conversation with Evanthia Galanis, M.D, Department of Development Executive Dean, and Cheryl Hadaway, Department of Development Chair. Philanthropy Grand Rounds was established to honor the dedication and commitment of the volunteer Leadership Council. This strategically-focused series includes topics related to fundraising, professional and personal development, benefactor engagement and the culture of philanthropy.  Dr. Coleman shared lessons learned during her tenure as President of the University of Michigan, thoughts on philanthropic international development, and proposed ways to continue and strengthen Mayo’s culture of philanthropy.
