Douglas County Colorado held this event to discuss the scheduled reappraisal of property, the role of state law in that assessment, how the reappraisal will impact you, and your options to appeal. They discussed property values and the Gallagher repeal. A panel of commissioners answered many questions online, in the hearing room and via phone. Participants asked questions about how this will affect seniors with fixed incomes and what the process would be to appeal this large increase in property taxes.
