Douglas County, Colorado hosted this Access Live event to discuss short-term rentals such as Airbnb and VRBO in unincorporated Douglas County. The county has received feedback both in favor and against short-term rentals and wanted to hear more from residents and answer their questions. Topics of discussion included county zoning, HOAs, safety and potential rise in crime, short-term vs. long-term rentals, licensing, policies and regulations, county revenue, and property rights.
