Commerce City Mayor Pro Temp Rene Bullock and other council members hosted this Vekeo event to discuss the latest happenings in Commerce City. The panel briefed residents on several upcoming construction projects and answered questions. Councilman Jason McEldowney noted June 30, marks the halfway point of the city’s voter-approved five-year capital program and announced all five projects on schedule to be completed by Jan. 1, 2019. Councilwoman Crystal Elliott reported the city issued a request for bids to widen Highway 2, a major road for the city that will add two additional lanes. Construction is expected to begin in August.
