This live Vekeo event was held in order to give Commerce City, CO residents updates on new developments and happenings in the city. Commerce City Councilman, Andrew Amador, began the call by offering various updates on projects currently in progress, including several new parks, pools, and recreation centers. Furthermore, hosts also talked about plans to widen Highway 2, thanks to a significant state grants. Construction for this project is expected to begin in August 2016 and commence by the end of 2017. Councilwoman Elliott updated listeners on plans for beginning annual routine road maintenance with the aim to repair road and sidewalk damage caused by winter weather. Council members also shared information about several upcoming events hosted by the city including tree limb disposal, Free Green Waste Day, as and other public and private investment projects.
