Dr. Kim’s areas of research expertise include age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, geographic atrophy, choroidal neovascularization, retinal neovascularization, and retinal imaging. Topics of discussion included how diagnose these diseases, common age of onset, family history, the difference between dry and wet AMD, lifestyle modifications as prevention, eye injections and vitamins, advice for caregivers, and clinical trials.
