The American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the American Heart Association (AHA) hosted this Access Live Event as part of the educational series “Know Diabetes by Heart”. The event was titled “Complex Cases in the Management and Treatment of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes and High CVD Risk” and featured: Dr. Nathaniel Clark, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Specialist; and Dr. Christopher Cannon, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Senior Physician in the Cardiovascular Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The experts presented on the new American Diabetes Association 2020 Standards of Care in the management and treatment of diabetes to prevent cardiovascular disease.
