AARP West Virginia hosted this Access Live Event to discuss the COVID-19 response in West Virginia. AARP State Director Gaylene Miller and West Virginia Coronavirus Czar Dr. Clay Marsh provided updated information about the COVID-19 virus, variant, and vaccine. Dr. Marsh explained how the booster shot provides an extra layer of protection and provided other basic vaccine information, including the flu shot, He also mentioned that those who are fully vaccinated can still contract the virus, though the effects would be less severe.
