AARP West Virginia held this Access Live event to update members on the Coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Clay Marsh, Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences at West Virginia University, joined the call to provide important insight and help address participant questions and concerns. Dr. Marsh discussed falsities and myths surrounding Coronavirus and explained the three C’s: avoid crowds, closed indoor spaces, and close contact with people outside of your household. Other topics of discussion included Abbott testing, reopening schools, contact tracing, Coronavirus vaccine and vaccine trials, the required quarantine period, benefits of wearing a mask, lingering effects of the virus, and blood plasma treatment.
