AARP Virginia held this Access Live event to discuss the latest about COVID-19 and the Peninsula Agency on Aging’s services, including free transportation to COVID-19 vaccine appointments for qualified individuals. This event featured Dr. Cynthia Romero, MD, Director, M. Foscue Brock Institute for Community and Global Health at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Bill Massey, CEO of the Peninsula Agency on Aging. They also discussed some of the offerings of the Peninsula Agency on Aging such as care coordination, home delivery of meals, in home care, and transportation. Participants asked questions regarding blood clots from the vaccine, cost of transportation to receive the vaccine, and the purpose of vaccination even though one might still get the viurs.
