About

AARP Utah held this Access Live event to speak with caregivers and provide guidance and tips from local experts and answer questions regarding the most pressing issues. Guest Speakers Kate Nederostek, Caregiver Support Program Manager, Division of Aging and Adult Services for the state of Utah as well as Kathy Nelson, Caregiver Support Program Training Specialist joined the event to speak to this issue. Caregiving can be stressful in ‘normal’ times, but it has been especially challenging during COVID-19. The pandemic complicated the lives of caregivers, particularly those with older loved ones who are most susceptible. The number of unpaid caregivers increased dramatically last year during the COVID-19 pandemic. Guest speakers spoke about the multiple resources available in the state of Utah for caregivers.
