AARP Utah hosted this Access Live event to discuss Medicare Open Enrollment. For more than 400,000 Utah residents with Medicare, this is an important time to review your healthcare coverage and make any necessary changes. Additionally, turning 65 years old is the trigger point for the vast majority of Americans to enroll in Medicare and failing to enroll on time could be costly. This event featured Darren Hotton, Program Administrator for Utah’s Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), who discussed when to enroll for coverage, Medicare best practices, and how to avoid penalties.
