AARP Texas hosted this Access Live event to discuss the expansion of high-speed internet in Texas. This event featured Glenn Hegar, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, who discussed the importance of high-speed internet in the state of Texas, competition in the private sector, and long-term investment in fiber. Participants asked questions regarding access in rural areas, additional charges for those who currently have internet access, and how AARP plans to accomplish this goal in the state.
