AARP South Dakota held this Access Live event to discuss AARP’s Staying Sharp brain health resources and lifestyle changes that can help keep the body and mind strong. This event featured Leslie Morrow, State Executive Director, Alzheimer’s Association South Dakota, Kathi Herreid MS, CPG State Program Director-Alzheimer’s Association, and Sarah Lock, Senior Vice President for Policy in AARP’s Policy, Research and International Affairs. They shared resources for individuals who are battling dementia and their caregivers. They also discussed the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, what age people should check in on their brain health, and if vascular dementia is hereditary.
