AARP South Carolina held this TownHall to discuss potential cuts in Medicare that are being discussed in Washington. Teresa Arnold, AARP South Carolina State Director and John Hishta, AARP Senior Vice President of Campaigns spoke about what these cuts would mean for AARP members in the 5th Congressional District and the 57 Million Americans that depend on Medicare. They mentioned that Medicare is not an entitlement but indeed a right that has been paid for. The hosts encouraged participants to get involved in the upcoming 5th Congressional election and to remain informed on the issues of healthcare.
