AARP Rhode Island held an exclusive Access Live event with US Senator Jack Reed. Participants had the opportunity to speak with the senator about the future of Medicare and other issues that are important to Rhode Islanders 50 and older. Senator Reed discussed his concerns about Medicare and its coverage for Alzheimer's disease. The senator also addressed the potential privatization of Medicare and the rising costs of part B and beyond. Some participants had concerns about caregivers and the lack of funding and other compensations for them; these concerns were considered by the senator.
