AARP Pennsylvania hosted this Access Live event to discuss skyrocketing prescription drug prices and what can be done to ensure older adults get the life-saving medicines they need. This event featured Congressman Conor Lamb and Max Richtman, President and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. The hosts discussed the Credit for Caring Act and how it supports family caregivers as well as other legislation to allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. There was also discussion about how policy changes will benefit seniors, how the expansion of Medicare and Social Security will be funded, the cap on FICA tax, and the inclusion of paid family medical leave in the budget package.
