AARP Oregon hosted this Access Live event for members to provide information about the 2023 tax season and discuss the benefits of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. The event featured Kathy Goeddel, Assistant State Coordinator for the AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program, Jeanne Teisher, Oregon Tax Aide State Coordinator, and IRS Taxpayer Advocate and Consultant, Cynthia Garcia. The hosts addressed such topics as how to find filing services, how to file an extension, and the earned income tax credit. There was also discussion about Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which offers free tax preparation services for low-income individuals and families.
