About

AARP Ohio hosted this Access Live event to discuss Esther’s Law and it’s role in preventing elder abuse. The event featured Erin Pettegrew, Deputy State Long-Term Care Ombudsman at Ohio Department of Aging, who provided information about Esther’s Law, which allows patients in long-term care facilities to install cameras or other electronic monitoring devices. There was also discussion about the costs of installing these technologies, privacy concerns, and other elder rights.
