AARP New York hosted this Access Live event to connect with members and discuss nursing home caregiving and provide further information to caregivers. This event featured Lindsey Heckler, Supervising Attorney for Center for Elder Law and Justice and Ann-Marie Cook, President and CEO of LifeSpan of Great Rochester. They discussed the long-term care ombudsman program and what things need improved at the state level. They also discussed the shortage of caregivers and how this potentially impacts the health of nursing home residents as well as how to report nursing home complaints.
