AARP New York hosted this Access Live event to discuss prescription drug price reform. This event featured Eamon Rock, Deputy Superintendent for Pharmacy Benefits, New York State Department of Financial Services and Leigh Purvis, Senior Director of Health Care Costs, AARP Public Policy Institute. They discussed the high cost of prescription drugs, policies New York state lawmakers can adopt right now to help New Yorkers, and the Supply Chain Transparency Act. Hosts also fielded various questions regarding benefits of proposed reforms for privately insured members, high prices of injectables, and the rising costs of cancer drugs.
