AARP New York hosted this Access Live event to discuss the coronavirus in Black and Hispanic communities. This event featured Dr. Aisha Langford, New York University Langone Medical Center, Department of Population Health, Dr. Angelica Cifuentes Kottkamp, Infectious Disease Specialist with NYU Langone Health, and Dr. Mark J. Mulligan, Infectious Disease Specialist with NYU Langone Health. They discussed vaccine hesitancy, distrust in minority communities, the research showing that the vaccines are safe and effective, and the potential for employers to require vaccines of employees. Participants asked questions regarding if you can get the vaccine without health insurance, getting those who are homebound vaccinated, and how to know you are safe from blood clots if you have had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
