AARP New Mexico hosted this Access Live event to discuss voting safely in the 2020 election during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the November general election just over two months away, AARP New Mexico is launching a comprehensive voter campaign to ensure that people age 50 plus can vote safely, whether they chose to do so in-person or from the safety of their home. This event featured Maggie Toulouse Oliver, New Mexico Secretary of State, and DeAnza Valencia, AARP New Mexico Associate State Director for Advocacy. They discussed everything people need to know about voting, whether that be absentee voting, early voting, or voting in-person on Election Day. Participants asked questions about requesting absentee ballots and how long it takes to receive a ballot in the mail.
