AARP New Jersey hosted this Access Live event to discuss the COVID-19 updated bivalent booster that is available for all New Jersey residents over five years old. This event featured Commissioner Judy Persichilli, New Jersey Department of Health Commissioner and Dr. Margaret Fisher, Acting Deputy Commissioner. Topics of discussion included building trust in the vaccine, vaccine supply and demand, immune responses and possible side effects from the vaccine. The hosts fielded questions from participants regarding COVID-19 variants, evaluating risks and benefits of activities, COVID mortality rates in the United States, flu shots and the importance of wearing a mask.
