AARP Nebraska hosted this Access Live event to discuss efforts to combat fraud and identity theft. The event featured State Director Connie Benjamin as well as Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson and Ryan Sothan, Outreach Coordinator with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office who discussed consumer fraud targeting older Nebraskans, such as ID theft, impostor scams, robocalls and more. Other specific scams addressed include the Equifax data breach, Caller ID spoofing, and Social Security scams.
