AARP Multicultural Leadership LGBT hosted this Access Live Event to discuss maintaining dignity of LGBT older adults and the significance of the Stonewall uprising in 1969.  The event featured AARP National LGBT Liaison Dr. Nii-Quartelai Quartey, Senior Vice President of Litigation at AARP Foundation Bill Rivera, and Senior Counsel and the Seniors Strategist for Lambda Legal Karen Loewy who discussed the generational experience of LGBT older adults and how that experience impacts their financial security and their housing security as they age. Specific topics include housing and healthcare discrimination as well as how AARP supports the LGBT community.
