AARP Missouri held this live, interactive event to speak with constituents about how to avoid scams and fraud. The hosts discussed fraudulent calls and what to do if you are receiving them. He explained how to contact attorney's general protection because even if you are unsure whether it is a scam or not it is always better to be safe and reach out. Currently the most efficient way scammers are getting information to commit fraud is general mail. Mail is being stolen out of mail boxes as well as when someone is dropping outgoing mail. There was extensive talk about credit card use on the internet, false tax returns, and stolen belongings.
