AARP Maryland hosted this Access Live event to speak with members about how to protect themselves and loved ones from identity theft and fraud scams. This event featured Maryland Attorney General, Brian Frosh; United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, Erek Barron; and the Director of Strategic Projects at CASH Campaign of Maryland, Sue Rogan. There was extensive discussion on preventing scams and recognizing fraud trends as well as how the new CASH Campaign program can assist seniors. Participants inquired about what can be done to combat scam calls and how scammers get personal information, such as Social Security numbers.
