AARP Maryland hosted this Access Live Event to discuss fraud and scams related to the Corovirus pandemic. This event featured: Dr. Michele Manahan, Department Director of Patient Safety; Robert Hur, U.S. Attorney in District of Maryland; Sydney Palinkas, ElderSAFE Community Educator; and Lynn McCamie, Baltimore County Ombudsman Program Manager. They discussed Social Security scams, transmission of the virus, the safety of having repair people come into your home, guidelines around wearing masks, and contract tracing fraud.
