AARP Maryland hosted this Access Live event to discuss fighting fraud in honor of PROTECT Week. The event featured Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, Commissioner of Financial Regulation Antonio Salazar, Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, Department of Human Services Office of Adult Services Director Dorinda Adams, and President of Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) of Maryland Helene Reynaud. They addressed the many forms of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation that can befall older adults and explained ways to guard against identity theft. Specific topics addressed include information about access consumer counseling services, bank beneficiaries, and recognizing investment scams.
