AARP Fraud Watch Network hosted this Access Live event to discuss how to keep investments safe from fraudsters. The event featured: Gerri Walsh, Senior Vice President of Investor Education at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA); Dan Rutherford, Director of the Office of Customer Education and Outreach at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission; and Amy Nofziger, Director of AARP Fraud Watch Network. Together they advised listeners on how to protect monetary assets as well as personal identities. There was specific discussion about unsolicited phone calls, vetting financial firms and brokers, investment commodities, and market volatility.
