AARP Colorado held this Access Live event for members to discuss how to protect themselves against fraudulent activity. Guest speakers Amy Nofziger, Regional Director for the AARP Foundation, Shelley Polansky, Vice President of Communications for Northern Colorado's Better Business Bureau, and Jan Zavislan, Colorado's Deputy Attorney General for Consumer Protection, joined the call to educate members. The speakers menioned that November is Consumer Protection Month, so they want to help people identify, learn about, and prevent fraud. Topics addressed included the Equifax data breach, common scam tactics in Colorado, and how to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office.
