AARP Delaware hosted this Access Live event to connect with members to discuss financial security and a proposed program to make it easier for state residents to save for their future. This event featured Sheila Grant, AARP Advocacy Director; Jean Chatzky, AARP Financial Ambassador; and Colleen Davis, Delaware State Treasurer. The hosts discussed the shifting retirement landscape which has fewer people having access to pensions, 401(k) accounts, or other options to save for retirement through their place of employment. Speakers also discussed Social Security benefits and emphasized that while it is an important safety net, it’s not enough to retire on alone.
