AARP Connecticut hosted this Access Live event to discuss the importance of affordable and reliable high-speed internet access across the state. The event featured Governor Ned Lamont, experts from the Office of the Consumer Counsel as well as representatives from AARP to share what is being done to address internet accessibility. The hosts discussed State House Bill 6442 and Governor Lamont’s plan to make high speed internet available and affordable to everyone in Connecticut. Participants asked questions about high-speed internet and telecommunications issues, the safety of broadband and access to choices for internet providers.
