The Senator believes privatizing Social Security is a terrible idea, due to the uncertainty of the stock market. The point was also made during the call that those receiving Social Security benefits rely on it for over half of their income, so care must be taken when protecting Social Security. He also spoke about other issues such as family care-giving, balancing the influx of baby boomers, and financial adviser conflicts of interest.
