AARP National hosted this Access Live event with their members to discuss information surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. This event featured Chester Elton, Business Coach and Best-Selling Author of Anxiety at Work and Leading with Gratitude; Dr. Warren Hebert Jr., DNP, RN, Nursing Professor, Loyola University of New Orleans, and CEO, HomeCare Association of Louisiana; Dr. Oliver Tate Brooks, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Watts Healthcare; and Kristin Dillon, Senior Vice President, States and Community Engagement, AARP. They discussed the importance of vaccines, the upcoming booster shots, and encouraged members to continue doing their routine care from their doctors during this time. They also talked about caregiver roles and what to do when caregivers have to go back to work. Participants asked questions regarding getting vaccinated at a late age, concerns about going back to work, and how to deal with stress and emotional issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
