AARP National held this event for members to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines in the black community. This event featured: Leon McDougle, MD, MPH, President of the National Medical Association; and David M. Carlisle, MD, PhD, President & CEO at Charles R Drew University of Medicine and Science. Topics of discussion included the Coronavirus and its disparate impact on the black community, vaccine distribution, continued precautions after vaccination, and the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.
