AARP hosted this Access Live event to discuss the upcoming 2020 National Census. The event featured AARP Census Lead Jennifer Baier, the Census Bureau’s Assistant Director for Communications, Operations and Management Burton Reist, and Tracy Strobel from the American Library Association who discussed the importance of the Census, Census job opportunities, and how to avoid scams related to the Census. Other specific topics addressed include how the hard-to-count population is accounted for, privacy and security, and how 2020 is considered the first ever digital census.
